Software for operator-led warehouses

In an operator-led warehouse, Kulmen guides every person through receiving, putaway, picking, packing and loading on a handheld or browser. The system chooses bins, plans pick paths, reserves stock by FEFO, FIFO or LIFO and checks each step by scan, so accuracy no longer depends on experience.

Kulmen Bench helps teams manage day-to-day warehouse operations with clarity and efficiency. From receiving to picking and packing, it brings structure to manual processes.

Every task guided

Operators follow system-guided putaway and picking on the handheld, step by step.

Stock you can trust

Cycle counts, host reconciliation and near-expiry alerts keep the book and the shelf in line.

Ready for automation

The same platform later drives conveyors, shuttles and robots without a new system.

A day in this warehouse

What Kulmen does, hour by hour.

  1. Trucks arrive

Dock appointments, off-loading and pre-sorting by item, batch or best-before date.

  2. Goods received

Quality inspection, batch, expiry, serial number and temperature captured on the handheld or web.

  3. Putaway

Intelligent bin search places each pallet by zone, ABC class and weight. Replenishment can trigger during receipt.

  4. Orders released

Waves are built and stock reserved by FEFO, FIFO or LIFO, or by project, order or customer.

  5. Picking

Path-optimised serial, parallel, batch, multi-order or zone picking, confirmed by scan.

  6. Packing and loading

Packing by scanning, labels, freight load lists and last-mile handover.

The next step

When you are ready: Kulmen Meadows.

Kulmen Meadows connects people, equipment and processes across the warehouse. It provides real-time visibility and coordination for hybrid operations. Your stock, orders, users and rules carry straight over. Nothing to migrate, nothing to retrain from scratch.

Questions

Frequently asked

Not covered here? Ask our engineers.

Do I need automation to use Kulmen?

No. Kulmen runs a warehouse with people, handhelds and standard racking. Receiving, putaway, inventory, picking, packing and shipping are all guided by the system. Automation can be added later on the same platform.

Which devices do operators use?

Operators use Android handhelds with a step-by-step interface for picking, quantity control and item control. Supervisors and office users work in the browser, with role-based access and multilingual screens.
