Software for warehouses with conveyors, sorters and robots

In a flow-assisted warehouse, operators share the work with conveyors, sorters and mobile robots. Kulmen assigns each task to the right person or machine, routes totes and cartons dynamically, drives pick-to-light stations from Android handhelds and shows every movement live, so manual and automated work run as one flow.

Cartons travelling across merging belt conveyors

Kulmen Meadows connects people, equipment and processes across the warehouse. It provides real-time visibility and coordination for hybrid operations.

One task list for people and machines

Work is planned once and split between operators and equipment in real time.

Material moves by rule

Dynamic routing sends each carton to the right zone, station or sorter chute.

Problems seen as they happen

Configurable notifications and alerts flag jams, shortages and delays.

A day in this warehouse

What Kulmen does, hour by hour.

  1. Receipts inducted

Received goods are labelled and placed on the conveyor, which routes them to their storage zone.

  2. Orders split

Each order is divided into tasks for operators, pick-to-light zones and conveyors.

  3. Pick-to-light

PTL stations light the right location; operators confirm on the handheld.

  4. Totes routed

Dynamic routing sends totes to consolidation or packing, avoiding congested zones.

  5. Labels applied

Automated label applicators mark cartons in-line before sorting.

  6. Sorted to dock

Sorters send each carton to its route and loading lane.

Frequently asked

Not covered here? Ask our engineers.

Can Kulmen work with equipment from different vendors?

Yes. Kulmen uses standardised telegrams for Acme equipment and is adaptable to material handling equipment from other vendors, so conveyors, sorters and robots from several suppliers can run under one material flow controller.

How are pick-to-light stations controlled?

Kulmen manages and controls PTL stations through Android handheld devices. The system lights the location, the operator picks and confirms, and the order status updates in real time.
