Goods-in: off-loading, receiving and putaway

Kulmen handles goods-in from the dock to the bin. It sorts arriving containers and boxes by item, batch or best-before date, records quality, batch, expiry, serial number and temperature on handheld or web, supports cross docking, and directs putaway with bin search that considers zone, ABC class and weight.

Questions

Frequently asked

Not covered here? Ask our engineers.

Can goods be received without a handheld?

Yes. Receiving works on a handheld or in the web browser, so a desk-based receiving clerk and a dock operator use the same process.

How does Kulmen decide where to put stock away?

Bin search algorithms weigh zone, ABC classification and weight limits, then guide the operator or the machine to the chosen location. Replenishment can be triggered during receipt.
